Well it looks like I’ll be riding down to Fl. for a week in the middle of August.
I figured I needed a vacation and a long ride is always a great way to relax and enjoy my *.
So I’ll be making a few minor changes to the bike and I’m sure will think of a few more on the ride.
To start I moved my floorboards forward 3 in. and tilted the heel down 1/2 in.
I also got the Barons thumbscrew PMS.
Today I was out in the garage and I came up with a quick and easy way to raise the brake pedal from 2 1/2 in. above the floorboard to 4 in. above.

I’m thinking of getting a Rear Fender Rack for the trip. I would also take off the passenger backrest leaving the sissy bar to mount my new sissy bar bag to.

Well I finally installed my bew K&N 6in. round air filter today. I learned about using this filter from this post at the RoadStar Clinic (see sidebar for link to clinic).
I checked my float bowl level and re-jetted the carb with a 170 main jet and the Baron’s needle.
Took the bike out for a little test run and it ran great,
Seems to be a lot quicker on acceleration and actually put me back in the seat.
